Terms of service
The terms for using CallCrate’s voicemail service for businesses.
Using CallCrate
These terms apply to your use of CallCrate. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use CallCrate for a business, you must be authorized to act for it.
CallCrate records voicemails from missed calls, provides recordings and transcripts, and sends email alerts so a business owner can review messages in a private inbox. It isn’t a live answering service, and it doesn’t guarantee that a message will be read, accepted, booked, or acted on.
Your account and responsibilities
Give us accurate business and contact information, keep your password secure, and tell us if you suspect someone else has accessed your account. You’re responsible for how your account is used and for reviewing and responding to your callers.
You must comply with applicable laws, including call-recording, privacy, and disclosure requirements. Use the service only for lawful business purposes. Do not use it for fraud, harassment, unlawful surveillance, or attempts to disrupt or access another person’s account.
Billing and activation
Billing starts when you complete checkout, even while we’re setting up CallCrate. Your monthly price is locked in when you sign up.
After payment, we prepare your CallCrate forwarding number and check that it’s ready to take messages. Once it’s ready, follow your carrier’s instructions to forward missed calls. Paying alone doesn’t start call forwarding.
Usage and availability
CallCrate is for everyday missed calls to your business. Fair use applies: we review unusually high usage and may contact you about it. Each message has a length limit, and we may pause abusive or extreme usage to protect the service. There are no overage charges. Older plans keep the usage limits accepted at signup, as shown in your billing details.
The service depends on call forwarding, phone networks, email delivery, and other providers. Interruptions, delays, and transcription errors can happen. Check the recording when accuracy matters, and don’t rely on CallCrate as your only record of important information.
CallCrate isn’t monitored for emergencies and doesn’t provide emergency dispatch or a guaranteed response time. In an emergency, call 911.
Cancellation and suspension
After your first payment, you can cancel or update your card from your billing settings. When you cancel, service continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for. If a renewal payment fails, service may pause once your paid period ends. Canceling doesn’t delete your messages. When service ends, turn off call forwarding on your phone so callers reach you again. To return after your subscription has ended, contact us.
We may restrict or suspend access when needed to deal with misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or unfinished setup checks. Contact us if you need help with your account.
Your content and privacy
You retain your rights in the content you provide. You authorize CallCrate, and the providers we need to deliver the service, to handle that content for recording, storage, transcription, alerts, and inbox access.
Recordings and other inbox records follow retention and deletion settings, and aren’t guaranteed to stay available forever. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Service limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free transcripts, or a particular business outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms as the service changes. We’ll tell you about material changes before they take effect. Updating this page doesn’t change the price and terms locked in when you signed up.
